Pro Football Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers (O/U 46 ½) (4:05PM ET) (FOX)

San Francisco 49’ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz faces the team that fired him last season. Martz improved the Lions offense and got fired because Lion head coach Rod Marinelli didn’t want to fire his brother in law who his defensive coordinator and responsible for the Lions horrid play. Martz was simply the fall guy and he will make sure the Lions pay here. 49er QB JT O’Sullivan will have time in the pocket to operate and will move the ball against Detroit’s bad defense. Detroit cannot stop the run or pass. Lion quarterback Jon Kitna will not face a strong pass rush against San Francisco and he still has explosive wide receivers to throw too. Both QB’s will have time to throw and that will translate to points on the board. Play this one over 46 ½.
