Pro Football Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers (-3) (5:15PM ET) (NBC)

The health of Packer running back Ryan Grant is a big issue in this contest. Grant has been hampered by a sore hamstring and only rushed for 20 yards in 15 attempts last week. He missed practice on Wednesday. Aaron Rodgers faced a poor defense in Detroit last week and at home against a bad passing defense in Minnesota. The Cowboys are much better than the Packers two opponents. And first year starter Aaron Rodgers will most likely not have his star running back 100% in the backfield in this huge game. The Cowboys have shown the ability to win big on the road and are 11-1 in their last 12 road games. Tony Romo has been outstanding passing for 632 yards and completing over 72% of his passes. Another benefit for the Cowboys is their ability to run inside and outside with the running back tandem of Marion Barber and Felix Jones, which will set up big plays in the passing game. Jones has also been outstanding in the return game. Ryan Grant’s hamstring injury takes me from the sidelines to the playing field here. Take Dallas –3.

Selection:  Dallas -3
