PUNK BUNNY began their musical collaboration in the early 1990's with Marble, a bare-boned, urgent, classic punk band. Marble's hard rockin' highly charged concerts at The Roxy, The Whisky and The Troubadour earned the group legions of fans. Marble shared the stage with such giants as Debbie Harry, Rage Against the Machine, Throwing Muses, and Ozomatli. By early 2002 the band felt that they had gone as far as they could musically and called it quits.
PUNK BUNNY was born when Luigi 's sonic aspirations evolved into a more complex electronic sound. PUNK BUNNY's music is a master mix of the past and the future. The cool electronic sounds of Kraftwerk coupled with lyrics containing the sexual frankness of Prince are two of the key elements found in the band's music. Dirty guitars, dance club beats and disco handclaps are thrown into the music stew and the results are down right delicious.
In live shows that have become wild dance orgies, Luigi's delivery of the lyrics to the funky song "Mustache Ride" have been known to send the boys (and some of the girls!) into a frenzy.
PUNK BUNNY Have worked and shared the same stage with Peaches, The Hacker, John Waters, Joan Jett, Electrocute, Dj Keoki, Junior Senior, Blowfly, Leslie and the ly's, Madd Mike, Electrosexual, Brad Walsh, Barry Weaver, James St. James, Freezepop, Har Mar Superstar, Hawnay Troof, Mount Sims, Celebrity Skin, Judy Tenuta, Avenue d, Snax, Shira Girls, And other incredible acts.
