KNOW THIS ...I AM HIPHOP;
MY BODY;
CONSISTS OF LETTERS
TO CREATE WORDS
WHICH MAKE SENTENCES
THAT STATE A MESSAGE
INTRODUCING
MY THOUGHTS;
THRU POEM OR SONG
SENSUAL OR ROUGH PIECES OF WORK
I LOOK OVER EACH PART TO BECOME BETTER
AS SOME WORDS NEED TO BE EXERCISED
TO REALLY STAY APPEALING
I HEAR COMMENTS THAT DISAGREE
"GURL , BODY IS TIGHT"
BUT AS A WOMAN
MY BODY REFLECTS MY TEMPLE
AND MY TEMPLE NEEDS TO GIVE OFF THE CORRECT MESSAGE :) (c) MIRRAH
MIRRAH: A HipHop Soultress.
Mirrah has a very distinctive vibe and raspy tone, her trans-cultural style of music, and fashion is influenced from ol'skool "Golden Ages" of HipHop, 80's pop, Chicago House, Soul/ Jazz and R&B. Being born Indonesian with African decent, raised in Australia and America by adopted caucasian parents. She is proof as a multi-ethnic professional, her sound and vibe is trendsetting. Introducing a refreshing style of music to target the multi-ethnic, cosmopolitan, the metropolitan, the diverse women (her 'sistas' she quotes) and men across the globe. Mirrah shares her twist on todays pop culture.
Therefore "Mirrah", is a 'reflection' of her surroundings.
Greetings all, I'ma introduce myself on a personal note. Describing myself as "MIRRAH" the artist is, 'unique and refreshing'.
"I first grew up into having a heart of a B-girl, when HipHop was introduced to me with breakdance battles with a crew on Venice Beach, CA. I loved how a beat and vibe could be expressed by beatboxin' and dance moves with an MC hyping the crowd which gathered more viewers as our beach audience.
It made me feel great, a self expression that was great for a 4 year ol'. I write poetry & rap lyrics and, also share ideas with my writing team to share personal experiences or of those that I have seen and heard about which people may empathize with.
As I grew and matured, the females that made me feel comfortable of my natural low & croaky, raspy vocal tone gave me strength and inspired me when listening to their lyrical content, and style such great women to name a few were Nina Simone, MC Lyte, Bohamadia, Tboz & TLC. Each artist was a pioneer to me as they kept their own vibe and expressed true feelings upon each song be it good or bad situations. Having grown up around the world, I have been cultured to adapt to dialects and cultures easily. Which makes "Mirrah" my birthname to reflect and respond spiritually with an open mind and heart. Mirrah's experience as a female emcee has given her many exciting opportunities and one is having Flavor Flav's performance back experiencing as his female Hypeman of Public Enemy #1 for some years now.
My hobbies are typical tomboy ways, I love sk8teboarding, ( I'm not great at it but its my personal rush to practice daily and lol when I fall on my @ss! I also love to ride BMX's down hills and off sh!#( like I'm 5 years old, lol) But really I love having fun around supportive and fun folks. I'm a goof ball, yet I have finally learnt the true means of maturity and acting selfless towards another. I love giving, especially to those who I feel honor my being. I have recently just found and believe in my outer beauty, with out being egotistical and am now having fun taking photos for my album and modeling opportunities.
