Artist Bio
An 18 year old emcee from Los Angeles, now hailing, living in and going to skool in San Francisco (San Francisco STATE). As a part of the League of Pissed Off Voters, and living with a conscious mind, Mandeep Sethi understands that there are serious problems that exist in today's American society, and addresses these problematic issues through hip hop. Growing up with a turban in the US, especially after 9/11, was a humbling experience teaching a lot about the way human beings truly act towards each other. It is a sad reality that we must confront, but race and ethnicity issues are pushed to the backburner of society's agenda, and must be addressed. The primary project on the agenda for 2007 is a comic book project with Los Angeles native emcees hailing from Project Blowed. He is currently working on a jazz quartet project with guitarist Nate Mercereau, Weston Spiro, and Zach Parkes. He is also working on a solo mixtape, mainly with DJ Descry of Berkeley, entitled "Dignity of Rebellion", as well as putting a live set together with some members of the San Francisco based live band "Black Mahal." Mandeep is a normal human being and not a superstar. He can be contacted at 818 645 4644.
