Southern California Native Gel Roc aka Gel One's (Lynchin Suckas Daily) roots in hip hop music stem from the old school B-Boy, Graffiti, and Hip Hop culture of the 80s, which is still apparent in his works today. As a member of the legendary underground crew EX2, Gel Roc has recorded 3 albums and recently his solo debut Laws and Flaws with producer Mascaria. Besides his own group/ solo works he has also appeared on countless independent releases with artist such as 2Mex, Existereo, Abstract Rude, Awol One, Daddy Kev, Deeskee and The Shapeshifters. Subject to lifes trials as a misguided youth Gel was forced to grow up fast and find an escape from treacherous scenarios of inner city criminal activity. Being surrounded by the influence and encouragement of other artists and staying true to the form he quickly re-directed his energy towards developing his natural ability to verbally interpret his emotions and provoked his relationship with songwriting. With a calm aggression, his music explores the diverse angles of the conscience and the pitfalls of false reality. As an outspoken artist he never fails to exploit the shadow of a doubt within the moment of truth or find the silver lining in the darkest of times. His latest effort, Laws & Flaws is a musical canvas built around ample drums, schizophrenic horns, sneaky bass, dark piano and synth fused with Gel Roc's signature tone and clever delivery. Female vocalist, Nite N Dae along with Djs ESP and Roach contribute many textures throughout the album. Guest MC's include 2 Mex, Awol One, Ellay Khule, Existereo, L'Roneous, Zagu Brown, Tommy V and also Virus, Regret and Syndrome also members of EX2.
