Artist Bio

Los Angeles naitive Mike Corvington a.k.a. DJ LEVIATHAN of The Metamorphs Hip Hop Squad, is truely a modern day renisance man. Constantly on the hustle, Leviathan, a vetren turntablist works as a music composer/producer, audio engineer, film editor, graphic artist, videographer, live events promoter and is the Co-Founder of Urbanbeat Productions and Urban Underground. As a skilled versitile DJ, he has performed with and as DJ to many great Hip Hop legends such as KRS-1, Big Daddy Kane, Sugar Hill Gang, A Tribe Called Quest, The Visionaries, Living Legends, Special Ed, Craig Mack, Madlib, Percee P, OHNO, Wildchild , Planet Asia, Prince Po, Medusa, Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, Mykill Myers, Roc C, TASH, and has recorded and worked on collabritory tracks with names like TAK from Styles Of Beyond and Fort Minor, C-Ray Wallz, Mykill Myers, POW SHADOWZ and more. Heavily involed in Hip Hop and streat culture, Leviathan has taken the resources that he has aquired through the years and recently began a weekly event every Friday called Urban Underground.

(Check out www.myspace.com/urbanundergroundweekly) His mission with Urban Underground has been to strengthen the foundation of the Los Angeles baised Hip Hop artists and provide a platform where dope upcoming groups, emcees, dj's, producers, street dancers, graff artists and concious mined individuals can come together to creatively express themselves through their artform and culture. This event takes place every Friday night @ Zen Sushi untill the end of May. Begining July 13th Urban Underground will be moving to The Airliner Cafe in Downtown LA.
