Artist Bio

SHUX WUN is the founder of the independent artists resource, MUSIC&STRENGTH, established in 1997... a collective of artists in different places and spaces. I'm an MC, director, producer, dvd author, and cameraman... I shoot, edit, and author custom DVDs for musicians of all genres, and visual artists, actors, as well as small businesses.

I'm also a Hip Hop documentarian and dedicated to preserving our underground culture... I am Hip Hop but I have a HUGE appreciation for other music forms such as rock /metal, reggae/ska/dub, jazz/blues, d+b/jungle, and classical... so all you suckas step off! :-)

I have hundreds of hours of footage that I've shot myself in different cities over the years, in the US and around the world dealing with dance, graffiti art, mc'ing, dj'ing, and much more. I'm currently editing my vintage footage into a series entitled "The SHUXFiles."

I've mentored and initiated art/music programs for at-risk youth since 2002 for non-profit organizations such as Toolshed Inc. and Children Are Our Future. I have also been an instructor of after-school programs such as Movies By Kids & worked closely with ages 8 to 18 in private schools, public schools, and state funded group home agencies in Los Angeles and San Diego counties. I also seasonally assist in marketing and promotion for various music labels, concerts & events. Resume available upon request.

I have been independently producing, editing, and marketing audio/video as a freelance artist forever. I'm currently developing video content for www.iamhiphop.com, a site for all Hip Hop heads to create profiles and post & view artforms within a defined Hip Hop web community. I'm also responsible for organizing, hosting, and promoting countless music showcases featuring various artists and art forms. I have been known as “SHUX” or “SHUX WUN” from All Out Kings aka ALL ONE KIND (Oceanside, Ca) since 1994... but I've been Hip Hop since 1975. I talk alot, but mean alot. Thanx 4 lisnin'.
