In a time when our musical lives are being consumed with countless fabricated tales of artist's "bling-bling" and "big baler" lifestyles, emerges now a new artist whose music and life proves to be quite the opposite.
R&B/Pop newcomer Kalel is the performer audiences have been eagerly waiting for. Formerly one fourth of the R&B quartet Neo Sounds, Kalel is stepping out to show the world what real talent is all about.
Growing up in southern California he realized very early in life that music was his calling. "I cannot recall a time when music has not been a major part of my life. Either I was performing music in local talent shows and at schools in my community or I was lifting my voice in songs of praises in my church choir." He started singing solo for his church children's choir at the tender age of six. The growing star went on to win an All State gospel competition with his youth choir.
The young Kalel wasn't at all camera shy. By age twelve he had already starred in four television commercials and three Walt Disney educational films. After countless years of singing and performing all over the world, this rising star decided to pursue his dreams in Atlanta, Georgia.
Kalel's soulfully impressive vocals are already creating a buzz in Atlanta's underground music scene as well as abroad. Kalel was honorably selected to be the International Ambassador for World Peace and was summoned to Japan to do a 52-city tour to promote world peace and non-violence. To prepare for the tour, Kalel scored original music to focus on the task at hand, creating such songs as "How We Live This Way" and "Peace, Peace." The tour kicked off in Hiroshima, Japan at the historical Peace Park and continued for 3 months across the country. Living up to such high expectations seems easy for this extraordinary vocalist/activist who blends rhythm and blues, jazz, and gospel influences together seemingly effortlessly.
In October 2006 Kalel established and founded Loud N Klear Entertainment in order to promote the efforts of independent artist. "I didn't want to wait for someone else to promote my music when I was able to do it myself. I have always come across so many talented individuals without any outlets to perform and share their talents with the rest of the world, so I decided to make artist's voices heard Loud N Klear!" With a clothing line scheduled for release in June 2007 and current film and television projects underway, audiences can expect much from a company that seeks to do more than just entertain.
Surely this shining star will create some much-needed longevity in a music world where we have far too many one hit wonders.
