CHUCK NUTT Bio Born, Jefferson Charles Rosemond Jr. Raised by a single parent in a less than functional atmosphere, there were only two options, shoot hoops or shoot for the stars. At age 8 little Chuckie, as he was lovingly called, became focused on what he wanted. He put down the basketball and picked up the guitar given to him by his grandfather. He would emulate his hero Rick James. Everybody would say little Chuckie was a Nutt for music, from 50s doo-wop to 70s rock-n-roll, rhythm and blues, and of course classic soul. All those influences would jump-start his love of music and his desire to create his own. Dedicated to that end little Chuckie began guitar lessons. The years blew pastfrom guitar playing, to drum lessonsfrom grade school to middle schoolfrom playing saxophone in the school band to finally finding his place in hip hop. Chuck hooked up with Jeremy Stix n the mix Hayez, and together they formed Nickelz-N-Dimez. So the persona, Chuck Nutt, was born while performing in their first show, a fundraiser for missing persons. Though the success of the show was a great experience there was a flip side to the story. Chuck was preparing himself to be a musical artist In November of 2004 he was introduced to Sam Conti, owner of FCA Artists. Instantly, based on all his past experiences, trials and tribulations , Chuck felt the vibe of Sam and knew that this was where he should be. After a few meetings exchanging music and resources Chuck Nutt signed his first ever recording contract with FCA Artists as well as a management deal with Sam Conti that advanced his career to what he had been seeking all along, national distribution and promotion. He is officially Jefferson Charles Rosemond Jr professionally known as Chuck Nutt. shows
