video > Oprah's Favorite Things - The Kindle

Description

Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people in the country, and her endorsement can make any product... or even a political candidate... into an overnight success. Recently, she named Amazon's Kindle Digital Reading Device as her “new favorite thing in the world.” The device allows users to download thousands of books and read them straight off the kindle, saving countless amounts of paper and carbon used to manufacture and ship physical books. Using the Kindle will even save emissions locally, because you download the latest bestseller directly without driving to your local store to pick it up. Oprah offered a limited time discount for fans who pick order the Kindle by typing her name in at Amazon, but even with a 50 dollar savings, the device still costs over 300 bucks. With the economic problems facing the country, a fancy e-Reader might not be on every person's wish list at the moment... but the Kindle is worth checking out for the eco friendly convenience it offers users. E-Reading might be the future of books, and it's certainly the greenest way to read... it's even more eco friendly than driving down to your local library. So The Kindle might not catch on right away... but it will become hotter as the price of the device goes down and more and more people realize just how easy it is to use. Oprah doesn't just declare any device her new “favorite thing in the world,” afterall. I'm Elizabeth Chambers. I think Kindle 2.0 is in the near future, right? It makes me laugh that people are also taking gadget advice from her. Hahahah! Check this out, aromatherapy candle blog.
